Adopt a School

Adopt a School

We partnered with an existing non-profit organization in our Adopt a School Program as our food distribution vehicle through the existing and operating four schools located in remote Northern Afghanistan provinces (Kabul, Faryab, Kunar, Nangrhar, Paktia and Wardac.)

In October, we were able to provide food to over 42 families who are victims of the recent earthquake in Kunar Province in Afghanistan.

Food Distribution Through Education

Due to the overwhelming desire for your donations to go towards food distribution, we are exploring this through a non profit organization. This organization is well established and is willing to use their existing facilities (mainly schools) to serve as distribution centers. These centers are located in Kabul, Faryab, Kunar, Nangrhar, Paktia, and Wardak). Money will be sent to this organization under “AISK for Afghans”; and, the food distribution will also be attributed to “AISK for Afghans.” The primary goal is to feed families immediately. And, this effort can be sustained through the winter. This effort could expand to educational opportunities. Our food distribution effort will be further enhanced by the fact that we are promoting self-sufficiency. We are also looking at networking other AISK-led and associated organizations like Diane Cutler Lewis’ tutoring program. There is no overhead fee or distribution fee. All funds will go directly to food cost.
